The season for lacrosse is starting up again creating excitement through the school. The season has started off with a bunch of scrimmages giving the Huskies a preview of what the season will look like.

The team took off on their way to Fallon this past weekend for a scrimmage. The team played three games at the tournament against Spanish Springs, Manogue, and McQueen. The team lost to Manogue 7-4 in their first game but won against Spanish Springs 5-0 and Mcqueen 6-0 giving them a total of 17-0.

“We could have done better as an overall team even though we had two shutouts but we still lost to McQueen” said junior Garret Titzel.

Even though some of the members of the team thought that they could have done better the players individually felt that they all had some very memorable moments.

“The best part of the tournament for me was when I scored in the crease against McQueen, which was my second goal of the day” said Titzel.

The first game of the season will be on Wednesday at Galena. The team plans to keep moving forward in the season and hopefully for the better.

“I think that we will come together as a team and work out the kinks we need to before the end of the season.” said senior Cole Nason.
