The animosity between rivalry schools and the big sporting event has been seen in many typical high school movies but now the common cliche is becoming a problem that school administrations have to deal with. This problem seems very small to the students taking part in these school rivalries but the growing hostility poses as a threat to many schools.

Social media is now only fueling the fire between enraged high school students wanting to defend their school. Social media sites like Twitter give students a place to let their thoughts out freely but when should adult figures step in to censor these thoughts?

These thoughts been students from rivalry schools are becoming more aggressive and starting to attack individuals from the team or school. Singling out a student can be considered cyber bullying and possibly lead to an out of control situation between schools.

With the creations of social media the situation of school rivalries has been taken to the internet taking the situation farther out of reach for administration. The action of an authority figure would benefit the rising problem and possibly put a stop to something that could hurt both schools.
